Set It, Send It - Save The Date!

Congratulations to everyone who got engaged over this Holiday Season! Now that you have had a few weeks to enjoy the sparkle of your new engagement ring, it's time to get down to business and officially start planning your ceremony and reception!
While you are visiting venues and selecting a date, your family and/or friends might be planning an engagement party to celebrate your big news. Engagement parties can range from small intimate affairs to large glamorous parties. Invite your guests in style with gorgeous engagement party invitations from Invite Me. We have a beautiful collection of formal, casual, fun and chic engagement party invitations to choose from.
Once your date, ceremony and reception venues are selected it’s now time to start thinking about sending “Save-the-Date's” to your guests.
Some of the best reasons for you to send your guests a “Save the Date”:
·         Friends and family are far away from where the event will be held
·         Your wedding will be at a popular vacation spot or will require special travel arrangements
·         Activities associated with your wedding will span several days
·         Your wedding is occurring on a holiday weekend or during a high-travel time.
For example:
     Memorial Day weekend
Independence Day or the celebratory weekend that coincides with July 4th
     Labor Day weekend
     New Year’s Eve

·         If a major event is planned in the city around the date in which your wedding will be held.
·         If you plan your wedding on a popular day, such as 11/11/11.
·         If you plan your wedding during a popular season, such as the Fall in the DC Area.

Sending a “Save the Date” helps your guests arrange time and allocate expenses, increasing the chances they will attend the special event. It’s best to send your “Save the Date” six to nine months prior to the “big day”. If your wedding is particularly far away or coincides with an event outlined above, you should potentially send a “Save the Date” as much as one year in advance.

“Save the Dates present a perfect opportunity for you to convey “personality” that you may choose to forgo for your formal invitation. A destination theme is captured in a luggage tag, airplane, passport, etc. Photo cards and magnets or classic card designs are the perfect simple yet elegant solution if you haven't decided on all of the "theme" details of your wedding.

Good-Luck with your planning and I look forward to meeting with you in my studio!

Sincerely,
