Virginia Tech Vow Renewal Invitations

I am a proud Virginia Tech Alumni so I was beyond excited to design the invitations for Suzanne's 10 Year Anniversary Vow Renewal. Suzanne was my guidance counselor in high school and I am honored that she called me to design her invitations!

The invitation is printed on a white linen card layered with shimmer orange and shimmer maroon cardstock. The enclosure card is printed on a white linen card and the envelope is orange shimmer. The highlight of the envelope is the Virginia Tech envelope liner! I addressed the envelopes using maroon ink matching the fonts and ink color used on the invitation.

Happy 10 Year Anniversary Suzanne and Giuliano!

Thank you for choosing Invite Me!
Sincerely,

Elegant Booklet Invitation

I just love this pearl jacket invitation with sapphire blue cardstock layers and sapphire ink color on cream cardstock. Each enclosure is printed on cream cardstock with the matching design printed on each card. One of the many beautiful details of this invitation is the matching design on the back flap of the french flap envelope.

We are currently working on the wedding day stationery for Lori and William and cannot wait to show you the finished product!

Setting Your Stationery Budget & 5 Suggestions To Help You Save

Your wedding stationery is your first opportunity to wow your guests and give them a prelude for fabulous things to come. Contrary to popular belief, "wowing" your guests does not have to cost a fortune. I have been working with brides for close to five years and love seeing their face when the finished product comes to life… especially under budget!  When setting your wedding stationery budget, it is suggested to dedicate 6-8% of your total budget aside for your wedding stationery.  Your wedding stationery includes Save The Dates, Wedding Invitations & Enclosures, Programs, Place Cards, Menu Cards, etc.
It's important to be honest with your designer regarding your budget. I never want my brides to feel pressured to purchase the most expensive stationery and I will work to design the perfect invitation in the price range set by the bride. These tips will help you make an impressive impact without breaking the bank.
5 Wedding Stationery Budget Tips to Help You Save…
Educate Yourself On Printing Methods
When selecting an invitation design keep in mind that the printing method you choose impacts the price. It's a good idea to educate yourself on the common printing methods and their costs. Engraving, Letterpress and Thermography are formal and elegant printing techniques which are more expensive options compared to digital printing. Adding a second ink color also adds to the price so try to stick to one color, and select a classic design that is clean and elegant.
Layers & Size
A stationery rule of thumb: the more layers you add to wedding invitation, the more it costs. Not only are thicker papers and pockets more expensive, but heavier invitations cost more at the postage meter. Also keep in mind that square or oddly shaped envelopes, such as French flap envelopes addressed vertically, also incur extra charges at the Post Office.
Eliminate the Extras

While it can be fun to go extravagant with your wedding invitations, extras come with a cost. Silk Boxes, crystal buckles and bows are all beautiful but are expensive. Choose only those stationery items that apply to your event. Save-the-date cards are fun but not a necessity. Consider skipping save-the-dates if most of your guests are in town and your wedding date doesn’t fall during a peak season or holiday. If your reception and ceremony will take place at the same location, you can eliminate the separate reception card from your wedding invitation.
Channel Your Inner DIY Bride
If you’ve got the creative knack, Invite me offers DIY brides the option to purchase pockets, cut cardstock and/or your printed pieces ready to be assembled. I also offer cut and scored cardstock for place cards, programs, menu cards, etc.
Always Remember To Invite Me ;)
You may be surprised to find the very same wedding invitations, custom papers or other stationery items offered for a number of different prices. That’s right; Invite Me carries the same invitations and cardstocks for custom designs for 20% less than retail prices.

Invite Me Bridal Show Season Review

We are nearing the end of "Bridal Show Season" and Invite Me has been busy attending several shows and meeting hundreds of brides. We have been taking notes on the styles of invitations brides are interested in and are very excited to share our findings!

The look of hand painted elements on your invitation are becoming more popular.

Elegant and Formal is always popular, adding paper layers and bows are a beautiful and classy way to dress up an invitation.

This Save The Date sample is among my favorites, it is shown using baby pictures of the bride and groom when they were younger. I have designed it to be used for Save the Dates and Wedding Invitations.

I always have Brides who ask if I have designed cultural invitations, especially Irish Celtic designs.

Brides are loving the look of light ink colors on dark color papers

Brides are interested in adding pops of color by adding layers and beautiful envelope liners

More brides are asking for Letterpress designs:)

Pocket style invitations are always popular and come in variety of style and sizes.

Set It, Send It - Save The Date!

Congratulations to everyone who got engaged over this Holiday Season! Now that you have had a few weeks to enjoy the sparkle of your new engagement ring, it's time to get down to business and officially start planning your ceremony and reception!
While you are visiting venues and selecting a date, your family and/or friends might be planning an engagement party to celebrate your big news. Engagement parties can range from small intimate affairs to large glamorous parties. Invite your guests in style with gorgeous engagement party invitations from Invite Me. We have a beautiful collection of formal, casual, fun and chic engagement party invitations to choose from.
Once your date, ceremony and reception venues are selected it’s now time to start thinking about sending “Save-the-Date's” to your guests.
Some of the best reasons for you to send your guests a “Save the Date”:
·         Friends and family are far away from where the event will be held
·         Your wedding will be at a popular vacation spot or will require special travel arrangements
·         Activities associated with your wedding will span several days
·         Your wedding is occurring on a holiday weekend or during a high-travel time.
For example:
     Memorial Day weekend
Independence Day or the celebratory weekend that coincides with July 4th
     Labor Day weekend
     New Year’s Eve

·         If a major event is planned in the city around the date in which your wedding will be held.
·         If you plan your wedding on a popular day, such as 11/11/11.
·         If you plan your wedding during a popular season, such as the Fall in the DC Area.

Sending a “Save the Date” helps your guests arrange time and allocate expenses, increasing the chances they will attend the special event. It’s best to send your “Save the Date” six to nine months prior to the “big day”. If your wedding is particularly far away or coincides with an event outlined above, you should potentially send a “Save the Date” as much as one year in advance.

“Save the Dates present a perfect opportunity for you to convey “personality” that you may choose to forgo for your formal invitation. A destination theme is captured in a luggage tag, airplane, passport, etc. Photo cards and magnets or classic card designs are the perfect simple yet elegant solution if you haven't decided on all of the "theme" details of your wedding.

Good-Luck with your planning and I look forward to meeting with you in my studio!

Sincerely,

Krysta Ardigo
